.NAME Domain Name Registrations

Started in 2001, the Dot NAME universal domain extension is the single TLD intended for personal sites only. These domain names can include personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other designations people are known by. At first, solely 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you wanted to secure john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already taken 3rd-level domain names remained running.

Through our firm, you can buy your dot NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the chance to change the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our company if you receive its EPP transfer code from the present domain provider and we will renew it after the transfer has been finished. There are no particular terms on who can register a dot NAME domain name, but in order to keep the idea behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.

The dot NAME generic top-level domain extension is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no added cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the correct spelling in your native language.
